Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: Samsung latest mobile phone

This more expensive version of the Samsung latest mobile phone galaxy S6 Edge banks it all on looks. It performs just as well as its cousin in every task we threw at it, but the few software gimmicks that make use of the Edge’s beautiful curved display just don’t do much to justify the extra cost. Buy it for its looks, not because it’s any more functional. I get that Samsung thinks this is a cheap samsung phones for the early adopters, that the added expense the next level screen technology will be prohibitively expensive at a time when the brand needs to get the basics right.Samsung showed restraint in the software on this latest curved display, paring things back to just a few neat extras on the S6 samsung phones

Samsung latest mobile phone Galaxy S6 Edge Design

For Samsung, the Samsung latest mobile phone Galaxy S6 Edge is a statement that design should lead technology rather than the other way around.

It is Samsung’s first all metal and glass New Samsung Mobile Phones. Out with the plastic and in with a hard chamfered aluminium band running around the side of the device and a glass back. It is solid with absolutely no give or flex anywhere in the body, but loses the waterproofing of last year’s Galaxy S5.Samsung latest mobile phone Galaxy S6 Edge

Samsung latest mobile phone S6 Edge is both thin at 7mm thick and light at 132g, comparing favorably to competition from Apple’s 6.9mm thin and 132g iPhone 6 as well as HTC’s thicker and heavier One M9 and most other smartphones.

Rounded glass on the left and right sides of the 5.1-inch metal-wrought Galaxy S6 Edge give this phone its name. The curved portions of screen meet the phone’s back to form symmetrical ridges on either side and a kind of flattened bubble effect on the glass itself.

Samsung latest mobile phone S6 Edge is a very light phone, and is primarily screen across the front. It manages the very clever trick of being able to fit a massive screen (5.1-inch) into a frame around the size of an iPhone 6, which should settle the need for many to decide between a compact handset and one with a larger display to play with. This actually works out better than it sounds. Its unique shape pops, giving it plenty of in-hand appeal. The phone feels aggressively slim, yet balanced, and the sharper sides provide a surprisingly solid grip.

The camera protrudes slightly from the back, as Samsung has packed in an advanced sensor and didn’t want to compromise on the specs to get to a thin, flat back.

The display is to behold than any other cheap samsung phones. It’s definitely the next generation compared the Galaxy Note Edge, for instance. That phone looked lopsided and the ‘spine’ screen looked like it was tacked on later.

The S6 and the S6 Edge have absolutely gorgeous screens. They’re both Quad HD panels (2,560 x 1,440, if you haven’t memorized it yet) akin to the one you’ll find in the Note 4, but they only measure at 5.1 inches diagonally.

With its display sharply curved along the long edges of the phone, there’s no mistaking a Galaxy S6 edge for its flatter sibling. But unlike the Samsung latest mobile phone Galaxy Note Edge, this is the same screen size and resolution as the regular S6, simply curved on both sides. That means the phone is actually a tad narrower, even though the materials are the same.

When on the home screen, you can swipe in from the top-right (or top-left, if you choose) edge to reveal a “People edge” experience. You can define up to five favorite contacts, each coordinating to a color, who show up after you swipe with quick options to call, SMS or email those people. You can define which app to use for the actions — like Hangouts for SMS or Gmail for email — which is nice, but you can’t choose to add third-party apps like WhatsApp or Skype, for example.

Once you’ve defined your favorite contacts you’ll also receive notifications on the Samsung latest mobile phone S6 Edge when you have a missed call, SMS or email from that person, so long as you use the stock SMS and Email apps. Notifications show up when you swipe in lower on the edge — again, left or right side. When your phone is locked and upside down on the table (which also mutes the phone, if you choose) the edge will light up in the color of your favorite contact when they call you as well.

Samsung latest mobile phone S6 Edge Verdict

The Galaxy S6 Edge is the first Samsung smartphone that truly matches the craftsmanship of its top-end rivals. It is the best looking and feeling cheap samsung phones, is powerful, light and has much improved software.

The camera and fingerprint sensor are both excellent, while the curved edges look and feel good. They add very little to the functionality, however, which makes their choice over the standard S6 an aesthetic one.

The biggest let down for the Samsung latest mobile phone S6 Edge is battery life, along with the lack of a removable battery or microSD card slot. A day’s battery is just about acceptable, but rivals have shown two days-plus is easily possible.
